Two weeks after releasing their debut single “Revelation,” former Each Time I Die vocalist Keith Buckley‘s new band Many Eyes have launched the video for the tune. Keith has spoke in regards to the affect of ’90s grunge on this venture, and the video pays homage to the video for Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” with a sepia-toned clip that finds Many Eyes enjoying on the ground to a rowdy crowd.

“As with every and all Revelations…we appeared out of nowhere in our truest, most timeless kind,” Buckley says through press launch. “This video doesn’t simply seize who we’re, it conveys who we have now all the time been. Inside the swirling power is an immovable expression of our love for music and the connections created by that love. That is us at our supply and middle. A reality to which we as a band will all the time return.”

Speaking to BrooklynVegan in regards to the grunge affect on Many Eyes, Buckley stated, “We took this power from an period that has vanished–I imply the type of total theme to the ’90s was insurrection and anti-establishment and anti-institution, they usually rebelled so properly that they both died or are now not culturally related… I wish to be sure that possibly we are able to sound a rallying cry for extra individuals like us, who grew up on the identical music and who miss that that sense of… the spirituality about it, you recognize?”

In regards to the tune “Revelation,” he added, “This was about me wrestling with the anger that I had, however not in direction of anybody particularly; it was in regards to the thought of alcoholism and what it had accomplished to my life and that it put all my relationships in jeopardy, and that finally it simply got here to determine my relationships totally. So I type of anthropomorphized the vice of alcoholism, after which clearly as a result of I used to be studying the Bible lots, I used a metaphor of simply seeing it because the satan itself, which, the extra I got here to consider it, the extra it really felt true.”
