Sleater-Kinney have shared the video for “Say It Like You Imply It” from their upcoming album Little Rope. The video was directed by the band’s Carrie Brownstein and stars J. Smith-Cameron, who you could know as Gerri from Succession.
“The video tells the story of a girl who’s misplaced all sense of what’s acceptable,” Brownstein says. “Sick with the alienation that stems from present in a disparate emotional state from the particular person or individuals closest to her, she grapples with debilitating loss, wishes to be seen, and dares you to go away.” It’s a tour-de-force efficiency by Smith-Cameron, and a terrific track, and you may watch the video under.

Little Rope is out Jan. 19 through Loma Vista, and Sleater-Kinney can be on tour in 2024, with Black Belt Eagle Scout opening lots of the dates. Take a look at their schedule under.
