Pete Townshend is feeling extra like a substitute musician within the Who lately.
“It’s a gaggle of musicians that Roger [Daltrey] has chosen,” the guitarist instructed Mojo in Could [via rockcelebrities.net]. “I’ve not chosen any of the musicians I tour with – not even [drummer] Zak [Starkey]. When Roger brings me onstage I’m filling the footwear of a man known as Frank Simes, who Roger excursions with solo, and who’s a guitar participant and musical director.”
However, he clarified, that does not imply he is unwilling to take part.

“I’m completely satisfied to do it,” he continued. “Somebody studying this can say, ‘Cease fucking complaining, Townshend, and put a band collectively of individuals you do wish to use.’ However that scares the shit out of me.”
