With a techno pulse that is each hauntingly stunning and undeniably dancefloor-worthy, Kaskade and John Summit’s new single “Resonate” lives as much as its title.
Whereas Summit is newer to the sport than his tenured counterpart, each producers have confirmed themselves architects of anguished, vocal-driven competition anthems that minimize to the center. The awe-inspiring “Resonate” isn’t any completely different, exploring our innate want for connection—each private and cosmic—by melding techno futurism with uncooked human emotion.
With undulating bass that churns beneath teeth-rattling kick drums, the manufacturing is a masterclass in atmospheric but hard-hitting dance music. However amongst the mayhem, there is a profound intimacy within the lyrics, delivered by a usually breathtaking Julia Church. “Really feel like I have been with you from the beginning,” she quavers.
It is a tour de pressure from Church, who’s rapidly blossoming into one of many world dance music scene’s most in-demand vocalists. Hovering over Kaskade and Summit’s pulsing basslines, her vocals paint vivid imagery of celestial marvel whereas evoking a burning want to share views and be absolutely current: “I need to see it via your eyes / The moon, the celebrities and the sky / Slowly letting go of time.”
Following a large road-test throughout Summit’s Coachella 2024 set, the brand new single arrives forward of the breakout home music producer’s long-awaited debut album, Consolation In Chaos. He mentioned the album, which is due out on July twelfth, is the “most susceptible work” of his profession.
