Eddie Murphy is reteaming with director Invoice Condon, to star in a brand new biopic by which he’ll play the Parliament-Funkadelic chief George Clinton for Amazon MGM Studios.
The script is presently being written by Virgil Williams, from an authentic draft by Max Werner. The venture was initiated by Catherine Davis, a lifelong George Clinton fan, who introduced the concept to Murphy.
Condon and Murphy first teamed up in Dreamgirls (2006), which earned the actor an Oscar nomination and Golden Globe win for greatest supporting actor.
