Danny Dyer is on the awards path for his flip in Disney+ collection Rivals.
The EastEnders actor will compete for Greatest Actor on the Broadcasting Press Guild (BPG) Awards, which is voted on by British tv and media journalists.
Dyer starred as electronics businessman Freddie Jones in Disney’s collection about intercourse and skulduggery within the British tv enterprise within the Nineteen Eighties.
To win the BPG prize, he must fend off competitors from Lennie James (Mr Loverman), Toby Jones (Mr Bates vs the Publish Workplace), Eddie Redmayne (Day of the Jackal), and Mark Rylance (Wolf Corridor).
Rivals, based mostly on Jilly Cooper’s novels, will do battle for Greatest Drama Sequence alongside Child Reindeer, Day of the Jackal, Mr Bates vs The Publish Workplace, and Wolf Corridor.
Child Reindeer star Jessica Gunning, a darling of the awards season, has been nominated for Greatest Actress, the place her competitors consists of Monica Dolan (Mr Bates), Anna Maxwell Martin (Ludwig), Ambika Mod (One Day), and Katherine Parkinson (Rivals).
Greatest Author nominees are Joe Barton (Black Doves), Richard Gadd (Child Reindeer) Gwyneth Hughes (Mr Bates), Peter Straughan (Wolf Corridor), and Sophie Willan (Alma’s Not Regular).
Winners shall be introduced throughout a ceremony on March 20 in London. Full nominees are beneath.
