Noomi Rapace is about to tackle the lead function in an upcpoming motion thriller titled Traction, which is described as a high-stake character-driven story.
The movie follows Kate (Rapace), “a former U.S. soldier main a humanitarian mission by war-torn Chechnya along with her Chechen ally Magomed. However their mission turns lethal as they unwittingly harbor a younger insurgent, who’s transporting a mysterious bundle.”
The movie might be directed by Lorraine Darrow, who stated in a press release that Rapace “brings a lot to Kate’s character: power, vulnerability and subtlety. I’m so impatient to work along with her.”
WestEnd Movies’ Maya Amsellem stated: “Following the success of our earlier collaboration on ‘Shut,’ and with our shared dedication to telling highly effective feminine tales, WestEnd is thrilled to be working once more with Lorraine and Noomi on this thrilling, action-packed movie”
Dennis Davidson at Elizabeth Bay Prods. stated, “I’m delighted that the primary movie from our collaboration with WestEnd and FilmHedge is Traction. All of us fell in love with Lorraine’s work and having Noomi enjoying Kate will do the story justice.”
FilmHedge’s Jon Gosier stated: “We’re excited to have Traction as the primary movie from our pact with Elizabeth Bay, and we’re wanting ahead to backing the remainder of Dennis’ slate.”
Manufacturing is about to start in August.
