
R.E.M. have assembled a brand new, five-track EP centered round their basic 1981 single “Radio Free Europe” to have fun the seventy fifth anniversary of the unique Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty broadcasts. It additionally comes forward of tomorrow’s (Could 3) World Press Freedom Day.
The venture is led by a brand new remix of the tune by earlier R.E.M. producer Jacknife Lee, a video for which can be out now. The EP was overseen by authentic producer Mitch Easter and consists of his 1981 recordings of “Radio Free Europe,” the b-side “Sitting Nonetheless,” a demo for “Wh. Twister” and the apocryphal, beforehand unreleased remix “Radio Free Dub.”
