Mick Ralphs, a founding member of Mott the Hoople and Unhealthy Firm, has died. He was 81.

Paul Rodgers, his former Unhealthy Firm bandmate, shared, “Our Mick has handed, my coronary heart simply hit the bottom. He has left us with distinctive songs and reminiscences. He was my buddy, my songwriting companion, a tremendous and versatile guitarist who had the best humorousness.

In 2016, following a tour with Unhealthy Firm, Ralphs was hospitalized with a stroke. He formally retired from performing after that.
