After months of uncertainty over home broadcasting rights, the Ligue de Soccer Professionnel (LFP) has formally introduced the creation of its personal digital platform to stream Ligue 1 matches from the 2025-2026 season.
With no broadcaster matching the €1 billion-per-season asking worth throughout latest rights auctions, the Ligue de Soccer Professionnel (LFP) has opted to go direct-to-consumer. The brand new OTT service, run by the LFP’s in-house media department and backed by non-public fairness agency CVC, will turn out to be the first vacation spot to look at the French high flight subsequent season.
The brand new service will present eight out of 9 Ligue 1 video games per matchday completely, from Friday to Sunday. The one fixture not included would be the Saturday 17:00 (CET) slot, which stays with BeIN Sports activities as a part of an current €80m/yr deal. Among the many eight unique matches would be the ten greatest fixtures of the season, in line with the LFP.
The subscription is ready to be priced at €14.99 monthly. That’s notably cheaper than DAZN’s Ligue 1 bundle this previous season, which initially launched at €30.00 monthly earlier than being revised downwards in the course of the marketing campaign. Whereas reviews in latest weeks recommended the LFP was contemplating a €9.99 youth supply for under-26s, this has not been confirmed within the preliminary announcement.
