SPACED introduced their “far-out hardcore” to a stacked tour with Militarie Gun, Pool Youngsters, and Religious Cramp final 12 months. Now, the Buffalo, New York group have signed to Pure Noise Information and introduced their newest EP, No Escape, out Oct. 17.
“Trigger and Impact” leads off the EP, arriving alongside a video that includes comic Ian Fidance as “joke extradiore” Marshall Smelly. After his set, the band play the open mic, ripping right into a headrush of psychy guitars, elevated manufacturing, and Lexi Reyngoudt’s coolly delivered shouts (honed from working towards songs off Huge Kiss Goodnight and Nonstop Feeling in her automobile). “This track expresses the anger and frustration we really feel about our present society and the norms which might be positioned upon us,” Reyngoudt says. “We’re informed to be quiet and simply obey, however we actually needs to be preventing again and talking our minds. ‘Trigger and Impact’ is an anthem for the instances: ‘You pushed us too far; now it’s time we push again.’”
