Princess Désirée of Sweden, the sister of King Carl XVI Gustaf, has died aged 87, the royal household has revealed. The royal, who lived at Koberg’s Fortress in Västergötland, handed away quietly at her residence on Wednesday surrounded by her household.
In an emotional assertion shared to the royal household’s Instagram account, the King paid tribute to the “heat household recollections” they shared as he despatched his condolences.
The King, 79, wrote: “With nice unhappiness, I’ve acquired the knowledge that my sister, Princess Désirée, has died. Many are the nice and cozy household recollections created on the residence of the Silfverschiöld household in Västergötland – a spot in Sweden that got here to imply lots to my sister.
