Tom Morello has introduced his first solo album, Everybody Will get The whole lot They Need, out Sept. 25 by way of Mother + Pop Music.
The document tackles themes of fascism, immigrant rights, and worldwide political unrest, pulls from a variety of genres, and options quite a few collaborators, together with Serj Tankian, Kneecap, and Beartooth. Morello’s 15-year-old son Roman, who has been taking part in guitar on tour alongside his father for the final three years, has co-writing credit on 5 tracks.

“Date Night time,” the following single from Everybody Will get The whole lot They Need, recounts the real-life story of three younger Dutch girls who fought as spies, saboteurs, and assassins throughout World Battle II.
“I make anti-racist songs for anti-racists,” he says. “I make anti-fascist songs for anti-fascists. And I make anti-Nazi songs for anti-Nazis. ‘Date Night time’ is mostly a ‘which facet are you on?’ tune. If any of that offends you, do the mathematics. Oh, and Roman Morello wrote the killer riff on this tune.”
Morello simply introduced the Energy To The Folks Pageant, a one-day celebration of peace, justice, solidarity, music, and activism, occurring Oct. 3 at Merriweather Submit Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. The occasion, which is curated by Morello, boasts a stacked lineup, together with Foo Fighters, Bruce Springsteen, Public Enemy, the Linda Lindas, and extra.
