Bruce Springsteen is teasing an announcement tomorrow morning (Sept. 29) by way of his social media, and whereas no particulars have but been confirmed, it appears The Boss is about to disclose a long-rumored new album that includes basic soul covers.
The most recent teaser includes a static picture of an previous automobile radio, with the audio recorded as if an unseen listener was turning the dial by means of static to a distinct channel each few seconds. Transient snippets might be heard of Springsteen performing Frank Wilson’s “Do I Love You (Certainly I Do),” Tyrone Davis’ “Flip Again the Arms of Time” and The Commodores’ “Night time Shift,” itself a tribute to the late Jackie Wilson and Marvin Gaye.
