beabadoobee’s third album, This Is How Tomorrow Strikes, is out now through Soiled Hit; steam it beneath. She labored with producer Rick Rubin on it at his Shangri-La studio, and she or he says, “He gave me the arrogance that I can belief my songwriting — like I earned this place to be in Shangri-La. It’s not a chance to waste, and it simply gave me a shit-ton of confidence: I can write a tune. That’s the one factor I do know I can do.”
To go together with the album, beabadoobee shared a brand new video of “Seashores,” directed by Jake Erland, and impressed by her time in Malibu. About her first time leaping into the water there, she says, “I used to be simply going to place my toes in. However then everybody was like, ‘Why wouldn’t you simply put your complete physique in? Leap in!’ And that grew to become such an encapsulation of this complete recording alternative — don’t do it half-arsed. Simply go fucking full-force!” Watch it beneath.
