Speaking with Selection in April 2023 on the premiere of Paper Empire, Richards, 52, stated she was “panned” for her flip as a Bond Woman, and that folks have been “disillusioned” along with her efficiency.
“It broke my coronary heart that folks have been making enjoyable of me,” Richards recalled, noting insults usually included: “Oh, actually? You are carrying shorts and you are a nuclear scientist?”
“I am taking part in a Bond woman. If I wore a lab coat and pants and a go well with, then [fans] would have been upset, like, ‘Okay, why is not she trying like an attractive Bond woman?'” Richards stated.
