The Data and Broadcasting Ministry is contemplating new authorized measures to manage “dangerous” content material on digital platforms, following widespread backlash over podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia’s controversial remarks on a YouTube programme.

The parliamentary committee had requested the ministry on February 13 about needed amendments to present legal guidelines to handle issues arising from new media platforms.
