The late former President of the Cambridge Union, Sir John Nott, was identified posthumously for a lot of issues, together with his notorious interview with Robin Day in 1982.
The duo conversed through the Conservative Social gathering convention when Nott was the Secretary of State for Defence.
It was a tense time, with Nott trying to resign from Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher after Argentina invaded the Falklands.
Day spent many of the interview with Nott criticising his work and up to date finances cuts from the primary sealord, Admiral Henry Leach.
Nott replied, “You’d hardly anticipate the primary sea lord to say anything, would you?”
Day then advised to the Secretary that he was a “transient.. right here in the present day, and if I’ll say so, gone tomorrow, politician.”
