It’s been a busy few days for Arcade Hearth. They introduced a brand new album and shared a brand new single on Thursday and performed a triumphant intimate present in New York Metropolis final evening. Nevertheless, in a sequence of tweets on Saturday, founding member Will Butler introduced he was not within the band.
“Hello mates— I’ve left Arcade Hearth,” Butler started. “I left on the finish of final 12 months, after the brand new document was full. There was no acute purpose past that I’ve modified—and the band has modified—during the last virtually 20 years. Time for brand new issues.”
Concluding, he wrote “Thanks to anybody who’s come out to AF reveals, or purchased a document, or loves our music. It’s significant to be a part of your lives. Thanks to the crew, employees, administration, label folks, bands, artists, and mates who’ve helped carry our imaginative and prescient to life for therefore a few years. The band are nonetheless my family and friends”

In September 2020, Butler launched his second solo album, Generations, on Merge Information. On the time, he instructed us that most of the subjects really feel pertinent to the state of the world now, together with the apocalyptic feeling introduced by the COVID-19 pandemic.
