Stephen King’s traditional horror novel The Shining is being tailored a stage play for a 2023 West Finish debut, and Ben Stiller is in talks to tackle the position of Jack Torrance!

I’d really like to see Stiller tackle this position! It’s a really fascinating and totally different selection for Jack Torrance, and I feel that Stiller may pull it off brilliantly. I’d prefer to see how he would carry this iconic character to life.

The play is being developed and directed by Ivo van Hove and the remainder of the artistic crew consists of Tony winner Simon Stephens (The Curious Incident of the Canine within the Evening-TimeMorning Solar), who’s adapting the King novel.

It’s defined that the stage play of The Shining will “adhere extra intently with King’s 1977 ebook than Stanley Kubrick’s movie, which along with Jack Nicholson starred Shelley Duvall as Wendy Torrance and Danny Lloyd as Danny Torrance.”

The play is being produced by Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender, who labored on Broadway with Harry Potter and the Cursed Baby.

Rehearsals are set to start within the fall, with London performances focused for January 2023. An eventual transfer to Broadway is predicted.

What do you concentrate on Ben Stiller taking over the position of Jack Torrance?
