Wilkins elaborated on his response in an e mail to 9Honey. “All I can actually say is that I am amazed at how weak the patriarchy is that it may be threatened by a chunk of silk,” he mentioned.

“I liked my outfit, and felt superb to put on it, particularly so throughout Satisfaction Month,” he continued.

“I hope that any younger queer individuals see that there is an incredible community of help and love on the market.”

The vast majority of the responses to Wilkins’ crimson carpet selection had been optimistic, many praising him for sporting one thing apart from the usual tuxedo most males put on to the occasion.

Loads of followers rushed to his defence when he tweeted in response to the troll.

“She’s so mad you are prettier than her and might pull off a gown which she’d most positively be unable to… jealously IS a illness,” one Twitter consumer wrote.

“I feel you are a superb function mannequin,” one other added.
