Final week, Brendan Fraser attended a screening of his new movie The Whale on the Mill Valley Movie Competition (which takes place simply outdoors San Fransisco).

Whereas accepting the Tribute Award after the screening, Fraser took the time to apologize to town of San Fransisco for one thing that occurred 25 years in the past whereas filming just a little film known as George of the Jungle.

Throughout his acceptance speech he stated, “I wish to make a fast apology. A pair years again I did a movie known as George of the Jungle. So at one half in George of the Jungle, George goes to rescue a parachutist who has turn out to be entangled on the Golden Gate Bridge*.”

He continues, “My trailer was subsequent to the Golden Gate Bridge, [and I was] watching whereas there was a … parachutist and a model dangling from it. And I wasn’t the one one stopping to observe it. All of the site visitors on each side of the bridge was stopped to rubber neck for that as a result of they took it severely.”

However right here comes my favourite element of the entire story. “I do know they took it severely,” he stated, “as a result of I occurred to be watching Oprah on the time. They interrupted Oprah to report {that a} man had turn out to be entangled in a parachute on the Golden Gate Bridge.”

However he promised he is discovered the error of his methods, saying, “So, that stated — my dangerous. Will not occur once more.”
