Netflix has launched a trailer for an upcoming political drama titled The Diplomat. The sequence stars Keri Russell as Kate Wyler, who lands the job of the brand new US Ambassador to the UK throughout a world disaster and a battle, and it’s a job that she isn’t fitted to, with tectonic implications for her marriage and her political future.
The synopsis reveals that “Kate Wyler was presupposed to go to Afghanistan. She’s nice in a disaster zone. In a historic house… much less so. Warfare is brewing on one continent and boiling over on one other. Kate must diffuse worldwide crises, forge strategic alliances in London, and regulate to her new place within the highlight — all whereas attempting to outlive her marriage to fellow profession diplomat and political star Hal Wyler (Rufus Sewell).”
The sequence comes from creator and showrunner Debora Cahn (The West Wing, Gray’s Anatomy, Homeland), and it additionally stars Rufus Sewell, David Gyasi, Ali Ahn, Rory Kinnear, and Ato Essandoh; company together with Celia Imrie, Michael McKean, Nana Mensah, and T’Nia Miller.
The Diplomat will premiere on Netflix on April twentieth, 2023.
