Summer time is all about getting one’s cowl story straight in a newly launched trailer for Season 2 of the Freeform anthology sequence Merciless Summer time, premiering Monday, June 5 at 9/8c with two back-to-back episodes, earlier than transferring to its common 10 pm timeslot the next week.

The upcoming installment of the psychological drama includes a recent thriller and an all-new forged, led by Sadie Stanley (The Goldbergs), Lexi Underwood (Little Fires In all places) and Griffin Gluck (Locke & Key, Non-public Follow).

Season 2 is ready in an idyllic waterfront city within the Pacific Northwest and follows “the rise and fall of an intense teenage friendship,” per the official synopsis. “Approaching the story from three completely different timelines surrounding Y2K, the season twists and turns because it tracks the early friendship between Megan (performed by Stanley), Isabella (Underwood) and Megan’s finest buddy Luke (Glock), the love triangle that blossomed, and the thriller that may influence all of their lives going ahead.”
