The second wave of the thirty fourth annual GLAAD Media Award winners was introduced on Saturday evening in New York Metropolis, with Netflix’s Heartstopper successful for Excellent Youngsters & Household Programming – Reside Motion.

The LGBTQ+ romance sequence based mostly on Alice Oseman’s webcomic, which follows the love tales of teenage BFFs-turned-boyfriends Nick Nelson and Charlie Spring and their friends, obtained rave critiques upon its launch in 2022. The second season premieres on Thursday, Aug. 3.

Different notable winners included Hearth Island and Something’s Doable, which tied for Excellent Movie – Streaming/TV; We’re Right here, which gained Excellent Actuality Sequence; and The Downside with Jon Stewart for Excellent Selection or Speak Present Episode.
