Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor is aware of that in addition to anybody else, and in a brand new chat with Traditional Rock journal, he revealed a very gross late ‘90s prank involving him, bandmate Shawn “Clown” Crahan, late Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell and a urinal cake.
Taylor was interviewed for an upcoming subject of the journal (in preparation of the discharge of his second solo LP, CMF2, which arrives on Sept. 15, 2023). When requested about “a number of the bizarre movie star encounters he’s had” over time, he determined to disclose the downright revolting factor that occurred when he initially met Darrell throughout Slipknot’s 1999 tour with Coal Chamber (in Pantera’s house state of Texas).
Per Traditional Rock: “The primary time we performed Dallas, Dime and Vinnie [Paul] got here down with their entire posse. We ended up at [strip club-come-HQ] the Clubhouse, they usually proceeded to get us so shitfaced it wasn’t even humorous,” Taylor mirrored.
He continued:
They have been all about doing pranks on folks. Clown was like, “No matter you strive, I’m not going to baulk.” That they had one among their cooks hole out a tomato and fill it with these insanely fiery crimson chili peppers. Dime pulls out this tomato filled with this silly knot of chilis and he goes, “How a lot is it gonna value to get all this down?” And Clown goes, “I don’t want your cash,” and simply grabs it and begins consuming it like an apple.
Whereas that actually sounds horrific, it’s nothing in comparison with what Taylor talked about subsequent:
It will get worse. We head to the toilet, and we’re pissing on the urinal. There’s a bit of gum on one of many desserts within the urinal, and Dime appears over and goes, “Alright, Clown, how a lot would it not take . . .” Earlier than he can end, Clown reaches down, grabs it and begins chewing. It was so fucking gross. Dime simply threw his palms up. He talked about it till the day he died: “Clown, he was the one motherfucker I couldn’t get to break down, he simply fucked me up.”
Now that is a disgusting dare!

As for Taylor, he was namechecked by Demi Lovato as an artist she’s “all the time needed to work with” (alongside Knocked Free). Plus, he “fully backed” Lars Ulrich when the Metallica drummer gave up the person IDs of over 335,000 followers who’d illegally downloaded “I Disappear” from Napster. Taylor was additionally honored when Weapons N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan enthusiastically in contrast him to Bruce Springsteen.
