“Visible results (VFX) crews at Walt Disney Studios have taken a major step to unionize after submitting with the Nationwide Labor Relations Board (NLRB) for an election to unionize. A supermajority (over 80%) of the 18 in-house VFX crew members at Walt Disney Footage signed authorization playing cards signaling their want to unionize. The historic transfer is the second time in historical past that VFX professionals have joined collectively to demand the identical protections and rights as their colleagues. Earlier this month, Visible Results (VFX) crews at Marvel Studios voted to unionize starting Aug. 21.
