In his 2023 e-book Yearbook, Seth Rogen claimed that, in 2006, throughout a five-hour assembly with Judd Apatow and Tom Cruise, who needed to get into comedy, Tom mentioned the Oprah interview.
He allegedly instructed them, “Effectively, yeah, they’re making it seem to be I am dropping my thoughts. There is a coordinated effort to make it seem that approach. [Seth asked, ‘Who would do that?’] The pharmaceutical business. As a result of my publicity of their fraud has value them SO a lot cash that they are determined. They’re scrambling, they usually’re doing the whole lot they’ll to discredit me so I will not damage gross sales anymore. … They edited it to make it look a lot worse than it was.”
