Chilly Case could also be returning to CBS. The community is contemplating a reboot of the police procedural drama created by Meredith Stiehm. The unique collection aired on CBS for seven seasons earlier than it was cancelled in 2010.
Kathryn Morris, Justin Chambers, Thom Barry, John Finn, Jeremy Ratchford, Danny Pino, Sarah Brown, and Tracie Thoms star within the unique Chilly Case collection. The story follows Philadelphia Police Detective Lilly Rush (Morris) and her crew as they work to unravel investigations which are not being actively pursued by the division.
Deadline revealed the next concerning the potential reboot:
Set 15 years after the unique collection’ closing episode, the untitled Chilly Case reboot would comply with a brand new crew of tenacious detectives who examine chilly circumstances throughout the Southwest.
This can be a new location as the unique Chilly Case was set in Philadelphia. The transfer would enable the potential new collection to introduce a brand new group of characters as they sort out unsolved homicides.
Steihm is writing the script. She is govt producing with JBTV’s Jerry Bruckheimer and KristieAnne Reed for WBTV and CBS Studios. Talks between CBS and WBTV have been occurring for weeks, and sources stress that the 2 sides should not near a deal. Reps for the community and the studios declined remark.
Pino has reportedly been approached about reviving his Detective Scotty Valens character. Morris has supposedly not been approached however is conscious of the undertaking and will return in some restricted capability.
