Jaalen Greatest (All American: Homecoming, Magnum P.I., American Horror Tales) has signed on to star in Amazon’s sequence The Biggest, the first-ever approved scripted sequence concerning the lifetime of Muhammad Ali. Greatest will play the enduring boxer and activist, and Ben Watkins, creator of Amazon’s upcoming Alex Cross sequence, is ready as showrunner.
The Biggest is being produced in collaboration with Ali’s property, along with his widow Lonnie Ali is serving as government producer.
The sequence’ official description reads, “The superb victories and defeats that made Ali a legend, each out and in of the ring, have been properly documented and whereas these landmark occasions will reside in ‘The Biggest,’ the heartbeat of the story is fueled by all of the moments that passed off exterior of the highlight. The world remembers an icon, however ‘The Biggest’ is a couple of man, a husband, a father, a brother and a son.”
Ali’s life rights have been initially acquired by government producer Josh Wakely, who introduced the challenge to Amazon. Amazon MGM Studios produces the sequence in affiliation with Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society; Watkins’ Blue Monday Productions; Jay-Z’s Roc Nation; Common Music Group’s Polygram Leisure; Wakely’s Grace: A Storytelling Firm; and Genuine Studios, which owns the rights to Ali’s picture.
