As tipped right here final week, Florence + the Machine will return with a brand new album, Everyone Scream, appropriately due for launch by Republic on Halloween (Oct. 31). The venture’s title monitor is out now in tandem with a video directed by Autumn De Wilde.
The Florence Welch-led group beforehand teased a clip of the video through which the vocalist, clad in a crimson costume, digs a gap in a windy, desolate soundscape and screams upon seeing what’s inside. Everyone Scream was written and produced with help from IDLES’ Mark Bowen (who additionally cameos within the video), the Nationwide’s Aaron Dessner and Mitski. Bowen beforehand teamed with Welch to co-produce a canopy of No Doubt’s “Only a Woman” fo the second season of the grunge era-set Showtime collection Yellowjackets.
Per an announcement, the follow-up to 2022’s Dance Fever “treads via womanhood, partnership, growing old and dying [and] exposing the murky within the mundane.”
Florence + the Machine have been off the highway for nearly a 12 months following the September 2024 efficiency of their 2009 debut, Lungs, with orchestra at London’s Royal Albert Corridor. Welch was onstage in June on the U.Okay.’s Glastonbury Pageant for a shock efficiency with the Maccabees.
