Founding Grateful Lifeless member Bob Weir died on January 10, 2026, on the age of 78, following bassist Phil Lesh, who died in 2024; singer/guitarist Jerry Garcia, who handed in 1995; and keyboardist, singer and instrumentalist Ronald “Pigpen” McKernan, who died in 1973.
Although the band has had many extra members and cut up off into many aspect teams by way of the years, solely two members of the traditional lineup of the Grateful Lifeless are nonetheless alive in the present day.
