J. Cole admits that he does not actually really feel like he is the most effective rapper alive. He solely feels that method when he is within the recording sales space.
In an interview with 7PM in Brooklyn podcast, which premiered on Friday (March 27), J. Cole admitted to hosts Carmelo Anthony, Monica McNutt and Kazeem Famuyide, that he be mendacity in his songs when he brags about being the most effective rapper alive. The North Carolina rhymer stated he does not stroll round considering he is the most effective rapper, particularly when there are different elite lyricists who may bodied him on a music.
“Bro, it is a ni**a named Black Thought that exists. It is a ni**a named Lupe Fiasco that exists,” he defined. “It is ni**as that on any given day, even my friends, a Drake or a Kendrick [Lamar] the place it is like, yo, I do know on any given day I can present as much as the studio and provides these ni**as 80, I do know they will present up on any day within the studio and provides me 80, and I would solely have 30.”
“If I am taking up a rap persona, like once I’m rapping, that is how I wish to rap. And guess what? Generally I hit the mark and I say s**t and I spit a verse that actually may need you imagine in that s**t,” he continued. “However should you ask me in actual life, do I stroll round like I am the most effective rapper alive? No, ni**a. Like I am the most effective ever? No. However once I placed on that muthaf***in’ cape, that is how I attempt to assault s**t.”
